In case you haven’t driven down Fairview Avenue since it reopened recently, you should know that the man who brought St. Thomas a 25-tonne steel sculpture of a 19th century locomotive has been busy. Lawrence Station artist and blacksmith Scott McKay’s iconic artwork on the roundabout at Wellington Road and Sunset Boulevard is now complemented by a Hometown Heroes sculpture at the new roundabout at Bill Martyn Parkway and Fairview.

The City of St. Thomas and Elgin County have also acknowledged the municipalities’ 140-year relationship with another stunning McKay piece of art anchoring the new roundabout at Southdale Line and Fairview.
